I am mainly a self taught  hobby artist, who discovered the enjoyment of painting about 10 years ago.

I love the challenge of painting across a wide spectrum of subject matters and mediums, although Oils are  becoming my preferred medium.  If it inspires me I’ll paint it!

From still life, portraits, animals, birds, flowers, cars, boats and objects in a landscape.  I am especiallyy interested in ‘things’  that are delapidated, abandoned, rusting, decaying and forgotten!

I also paint both in a detailed realism style but also in a loser more painterly way.

Alderton Art Festival is the first time I have ever officially exhibited my art.
