Wells Elizabeth

Elizabeth’s details are coming soon.

Deborah interprets moments in watercolour from a variety of subject matter, ranging from landscapes, cityscapes, and flora and fauna. Her style varies from very detailed and accurate to impressionistic and abstract. The colour used depends on the moment captured by a photograph or visual memory and reflects the mood, atmosphere and energy of a snapshot from life.

Heat, rain or lighting changes excite Deborah to paint, capturing the personal and emotional attachment to the snapshot in time.

Deborah has recently revisited acrylic painting, and in this more recent work she has again tried to capture seasons, feelings and places of personal interest.

In her role as Director of an Arts College Deborah has been involved Visual and Performing Arts, including fine art, creative design, drama, dance and music. Deborah strives to spread creative arts pedagogy in the classroom, in her work, education and motivational speaking and training.

Deborah takes commissions and enjoys new challenges in composition, medium and style.

Barry Reynolds started drawing and painting at the age of six and continued to the age of fifteen when a interest and love of motorcycles took over his life. He was always top at art at school. Barry, who is now eighty-three, restarted painting pictures at the age of fifty, his subjects are across the board from old houses, landscapes, railway locos and Barry also likes to paint horses and characters from old Victorian photos and, occasionally, copies of Victorian artists’ works. In the last five years he has experimented with still life scenes.

Barry always uses oil paint on board.

Jackie’s details are coming soon.

I am a self taught painter and have always sketched and drawn but for over 40 years have worked mainly in oils. I paint in oils, mainly landscapes portrait and occasionally animals. I exhibited as a member of the Town and County art society for over 20 years.

Most of my commissioned work is in the USA.

I am a Northampton based artist, working from my studio above the NN Contemporary Gallery. Mainly self-taught and primarily an oil painter I use traditional classical atelier techniques. Portraits and figurative work feature strongly in my art, and I’m well known for my strong evocative portraits and musical icons. However, I also find inspiration in the light, colours and shapes of the landscapes that I encounter. My new collection of limited edition glicee prints of the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside showing at the Alderton Arts Festival reflect this inspiration. All of my limited edition, individually signed glicee prints are from my original oil paintings.

I’m a full member and President-Elect of the Northampton Town and County Art Society, and I have exhibited extensively within the county and beyond, notably in London and at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists. My work is held in collections outside the UK, and I was awarded the Peoples’ Choice Prize at the Alfred East Gallery as part of their Open 13 exhibition.

I accept commissions and I’m happy to discuss specific requests. More examples of my work can be seen on my website: https://www.cordellgarfield.com/ or Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/cordellgarfieldfineart/

I also run workshops specialising in portraiture and oil painting which can be viewed on this link: https://www.cordellgarfield.com/workshops/

Irene always wanted to paint, but didn’t start until her children had grown up. Not having much confidence, she joined an art group who were exhibiting when she was giving blood!

Painting soon changed her life and outlook. She loves every minute: from just drawing to adding colour, the first exhibition, the first sale, even the disasters.

Having tried almost every medium – watercolour for sketching and painting smaller pictures – she has settled on oils to give vibrancy of colour and mood. Influenced by Turner and his skies and elements she also enjoys the impressionists and Klimt.

Being a member of local art groups (MKSA and BAFA) has developed a more rounded artist.

She has exhibited not only locally but also at Windsor and Reading. In 2018 she had her first solo exhibition in Suffolk.

She cannot imagine life without art and all that it brings, especially the people.
