Chilton Nan

I live in a small village on the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire borders.

I am a member of the Rugby and district Art Society and Napton Art group exhibiting my work with them and also, I exhibit with the Northants and Rutland open studios. My work can be seen during the festival at Silverstone Methodist church and at the central exhibition at Lamport hall,

My work is inspired by light, shade and atmosphere of local landscapes and also holiday destinations in our beautiful island. I paint a lot plein air capturing a moment in time and giving me lasting memories of a few hours spent outside in our beautiful countryside. Recently I have tried my hand at painting garden flowers and fruits I do admit that I am rather addicted but it will never take me away from my first love landscapes. I paint what moves me and if that is liked by others then that is a bonus.
