Evans Jutta

Having grown up in Germany I was drawn from a young age to the modernist movement of Expressionism, presenting the world from a subjective perspective, seeking to express the inner world of emotion rather than physical reality.

My interest in languages took me to Italy where I worked for almost a decade. Italy’s boundless passion in art and culture, enhanced and truly embodied my opportunity to drive my inner artist in its beautiful settings and light.

Over the years I have experimented with various mediums and now work exclusively with acrylics. It is a medium that offers me considerable control of its consistency, ways of application and an almost endless variety of texture.

I call Milton Keynes my home now, having lived here for many years and am carrying the bright Italian light, bold colours and passion for life into my paintings.
