Having explored various mediums I discovered that oil is fantastic for expressing any ideas or subject on canvas or board.

I find the whole process to be engaging, challenging and totally absorbing, particularly creating colours from pigments!

During my journey I have experienced joy in painting landscapes, seascapes, still life subjects and portraits.

I particularly embrace painting plein air in finer weather as the opportunity to capture natural light, shadows and moving clouds, whilst testing, is very freeing and very different to the studio.
