Northamptonshire born artist Sarah Hodgkins began her creative career as an interior designer in the 1980s, but for the last 16 years, she has been designing and painting murals and large scale art works under the company name Charlotte Designs. During that time, she has painted over 500 murals for both commercial and domestic clients across the UK. Her clients include the NHS, Keuhne and Nagel, David Lloyd Leisure, Ironmongery Direct, Epson UK, Dulux, MK Gallery, Whittlebury Hall, Avanti West Coast and Force India Formula One, as well as a large number of schools, councils, hotels, care homes, smaller businesses and private clients (including royalty!).
She works in a variety of mediums, but her canvas work is predominantly acrylic, applied with a combination of knives, sponges and brushes. Much of her work is commission based, so her subject matter is extremely varied; but when left to her own devices, she enjoys painting rural landscapes with atmosphere and texture. Much of her work is of the rivers, woods and fields in the local area and she particularly enjoys portraying the seasons and exploring how colour and texture, can reflect the time of the day or the temperature.
Sarah is passionate about providing the highest level of service possible to her clients and is available for commissions for either murals or canvasses. She lives in South Northamptonshire with her husband, two teenage children and mad fluffy dog and much of her inspiration comes from her walking and running with the aforementioned fluffy dog.
